War of the woods
The trees of the forest stood steadfast as the wind kept picking up speed. The leaves did not mind in the slightest; they just kept dancing through the sky. The dark blue river gave off an eerie aura, as it crept through the vast landscape. The trees stood fierce and proud, like an army ready for battle. But before they could charge and seize the victory, a loud lightning bolt struck, like a cannon warding off the enemy troops. Pandemonium ensued. After each shot form the cannon, the troops shivered in fear as the cannon blast's resodue fell from above. The rain was pouring like a spilt bucket. The trees danced happly in the cool wind as the thundering stopped. The war was won

I love the way you play with your language. I felt as if I was dancing with the trees!
